Up the wall

I went to sleepy Falmer village again (where I shot The Wooden Door) but this time to the South side. It's like a false idyll; only yards away is Sussex University campus and the vast grey dual carriageways, and here, a lake with hissing geese and nesting ducks around it, drooping dreamy trees, ancient gravestones and a great big castle-like church.

It might be a quiet place, but I was disturbed a few times: a woman who was lingering about, waiting for the traffic on the A23 to calm down, struck up a conversation about photography with me (I told her to check out Flickr) a skinny priest hustled to his presbytery, and a boy and girl walked into my line of fire to snap the scenery with their own camera.

Tried a few different scenes of shooting, but it was this unexpected frame that lured me in the most. The red flowers, the double yellow line, the textured wall.
More to come from this location.
